Schroders JV completes cross-border investment to acquire Frankfurt office tower
A strategic partnership led by Schroder Real Estate (Schroders) and funded by Ilmarinen Mutual Pension Insurance Company alongside another international institution completed the purchase of Pollux (Platz der Einheit 2), a 32 storey office tower in Frankfurt, based on a gross property value in excess of €220 million.

M7 sells Fumbally Lane office complex, Dublin to BCP for €33.5 million
M7 Real Estate announces that it has sold an office complex on Fumbally Lane, Dublin 8 in the Republic of Ireland, on behalf of M7 European Real Estate Investment Partners IV, to BCP Fund Management DAC for a total of €33.5 million, a capital value per square foot of €403 and a reversionary yield of 8.5% on today’s ERV.

From uncertainty emerges the value-add opportunity
2017 saw investment volumes in the UK commercial property market rise by over 10% on the previous year. Much of this was helped by overseas buyers and a weak Sterling, which remained 10% on average below pre-referendum lev- els. Whilst an improvement on a subdued 2016, the year of the EU referendum, transaction activity was notably still nearly 30% down versus its 2015 peak, reflecting Brexit-related macro uncertainty. Underneath the 2017 headline figures, non-currency driven activity was also relatively quiet.
