The economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic can perhaps best be described in four distinct phases: the shutdown, the re-opening, the transition to the new normal and the new normal (or as one colleague has put it, the new “abnormal”). Sl Green, National Pension Service Of Korea And Hines Form Joint Venture Partnership At One Madison Avenue
Manhattan’s largest office landlord, today announced that it has sold a 49.5% interest in One Madison Avenue to the National Pension Service of Korea (“NPS”) and Hines Interest LP (“Hines”). NPS and Hines have committed aggregate equity to the project totaling no less than $492.2 million. SL Green Realty Corp. and Hines will co-develop the $2.3 billion project, which will span 1.4 million rentable square feet upon completion.

Economic and Property Overview: Q1 2020
The first quarter of 2020 was shaped by the coronavirus, by the end of March 2020 a total of 29,474 confirmed cases and 2,352 deaths were reported for the UK. One month after the quarter end, the number of cases and deaths surged to 194,990 and 29,427 respectively. The costs to the British economy have been considerable; government-imposed lockdown measures to slow the spread of the virus have disrupted business activity, knocked consumer confidence and reduced business confidence levels to record lows. The flash PMI’s plunged from 53.0 in February to 37.1 in March, with a figure of 50+ representing economic expansion, it is now widely anticipated that the economy will contract in March.

PATRIZIA AG, the global partner for pan-European real estate investment, announces the acquisition of the AIRE office building in Luxembourg City on behalf of its institutional clients.
