Robert Shaw

Rob is a Managing Director with CBRE Investment Management's Private Infrastructure business and is focused exclusively on the direct infrastructure investment program.

He is a member of the Firm’s direct investment committee. Prior to joining the direct infrastructure team, Rob was Senior Director, Legal, where he led the private infrastructure legal department and advised the investment teams on the structuring and execution of investment opportunities. 

Prior to joining CBRE Investment Management in 2018, Rob practiced law at Torys LLP, with a focus on infrastructure and private equity mergers and acquisitions. During his time at Torys, Rob represented CBRE Investment Management and several other leading funds, pension plans and institutional investors.

Rob received his Juris Doctor and MBA from Osgoode Hall Law School and the Schulich School of Business at York University. Rob also received a Bachelor of Arts with Honors from Queen’s University, where he was recognized as a CIS Academic All-Canadian while playing varsity basketball for the Golden Gaels.
