SC Capital Partners and ADIA form Asia Pacific data centre investment programme

SC Capital Partners Pte Ltd (“SC Capital Partners”), the Singapore-headquartered private equity real estate fund manager, has announced the formation of a data centre investment programme with a wholly owned subsidiary of the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (“ADIA”).

SC Capital Partners secured commitments for the new mandate from ADIA, with the ability to scale up over time to USD$2 billion of equity. The programme targets data centre investments across the Asia Pacific region with a primary focus on Japan, South Korea, Singapore and Australia. In addition, ADIA is investing into SC Capital Partners’ pan-Asian opportunistic investment strategy.

The launch of the data centre investment programme follows SC Capital Partners’ announcement in March 2022 that the Group had created a pan-Asian data centre platform subsidiary, SC Zeus Data Centers.

SC Zeus Data Centers is a vertically integrated platform with a presence in Singapore (headquarters), China, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea and Thailand. The platform serves as a one-stop solution to the various real estate strategies managed by SC Capital Partners, being able to offer design, development, asset management, leasing/sales, project management, operations as well as technical services for data centres across Asia Pacific.

SC Zeus Data Centers will be the operating partner for the new data centre investment programme.

The programme will also have the opportunity to invest alongside SC Capital Partners’ existing pan-Asian opportunistic strategy.
