Founded in 1984, Foresight Group is a leading sustainability-led infrastructure and private equity investment manager, which has been managing investment funds on behalf of institutions and retail clients for more than 35 years. Foresight Group’s main office is in London with further international offices in Rome, Madrid, Luxembourg and Sydney.
Foresight’s Infrastructure team was established in 2007 and is one of the most established and experienced teams in the sustainable infrastructure market, with over 350 assets acquired. Infrastructure represents c. 80% of the Group’s AUM, at €5.7bn as of Q3 2020, which is invested across social, transport, digital and energy infrastructure in addition to a growing portfolio of forestry and afforestation projects.
Foresight’s clean energy infrastructure portfolio totals over 275 assets with a capacity of 2.7GW across the UK, Europe and Australia, and comprises a wide range of technologies, including solar, onshore wind, bioenergy and waste, hydro, battery storage, reserve power and energy efficiency projects.
The Infrastructure team is composed of 99 professionals which includes 38 investment professionals, 30 portfolio management experts and an engineering technical team of 31.
