    Head of the Farmland team

    Richard Jacobs is co-head of the private markets investment team and is also portfolio manager of the Kempen SDG Farmland Fund. Richard grew up as a farmer's son and therefore has extensive knowledge of agriculture. Richard has been working at Van Lanschot Kempen Investment Management since 2017.

    Head of Natural Capital

    Arif Saad is Head of Natural Capital. He is also Head of People, UK. Before joining us in 2020, Arif was a Fiduciary Manager at Legal & General Investment Management and helped develop their fiduciary management offering. He also led their Strategic Client Relationship Executive team. He began his career at Mercer’s UK investment consulting business, he is a CFA Charterholder and holds a BSc (Hons) in Industrial Economics from the University of Warwick.

    Portfolio Manager - Farmland

    Alice is a Portfolio Manager for the SDG Farmland Fund. Before joining Van Lanschot Kempen in 2024, Alice worked primarily on business strategy, fundraising, and programme management in the early-stage innovation space for agrifood across Europe. Before that, she was based in London at Accenture. Originally from Scotland, Alice shares the team’s passion for sustainable agriculture and land restoration. Alice has a BA in History with Management Studies from the University of Cambridge and the Cambridge Judge Business School

    Portfolio Manager - Farmland

    Tim is a Portfolio Manager for the SDG Farmland Fund. He joined Van Lanschot Kempen in 2017. Tim holds a degree from the University of Groningen.

  • Chris Windeatt

    Business development

    Chris works in the distribution team in our London office, working across different asset classes. Chris has a particular passion for Impact Investing, and a keen interest in helping clients understand the benefits of investing in Sustainable Farmland. Before joining the firm, Chris’ previous experience includes a variety of roles at Punter Southall, Cambridge Associates, AK Jensen, Legal & General and BlackRock. Chris holds the Investment Management Certificate (IMC). Chris has a BSc (hons) degree in Mathematics from the University of Nottingham.

  • Rick Adolfse

    Portfolio Manager - Farmland

    Rick Adolfse is a Portfolio Manager for the SDG Farmland Fund at Van Lanschot Kempen. Before joining the Farmland team, Rick worked at Van Lanschot Kempen and New10, an ABN AMRO start up, where he held roles in project management and risk management. Rick holds a Master of Science specialized in Economics and Governance complemented by an honors degree in Circular Economy, from Leiden University. In addition, Rick has obtained the RBA designation.
