Scott began his investment career in 1981 and joined Invesco Real Estate in 1992. Prior roles include co-head of IRE’s North American group and head of the US Acquisitions team. Before joining Invesco, he worked in the investment bank of Bankers Trust Company, where he was responsible for structuring equity and debt investments on behalf of Bankers Trust and other institutional clients. Additionally, Scott was with Trammell Crow Company, where he was responsible for investments on behalf of their commingled, opportunistic funds. 

Scott earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance and Real Estate from The University of Texas at Austin.
