Laler began his investment career in 1983 and joined Invesco Real Estate in 2003. Prior to joining Invesco, he served as head of separate accounts with Lend Lease where his responsibilities included client relationship management, investment performance, client service, and new client development activities for major pension funds. Before that, he served in various transaction and portfolio management capacities. 

Laler earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of South Carolina. He is an active member of the Real Estate Executive Council (REEC) and an Adjunct Representative of IRE for Pension Real Estate Association (PREA).
