Ben is a Managing Director and Co-Head of U.S. Real Estate, overseeing the real estate debt & equity platform. He leads the development of the U.S. real estate business strategy and is responsible for building and growing the business across investment vehicles, asset classes, and geographies. Ben is a member of the Barings Global Real Estate Debt Investment Committees, Barings Real Estate U.S. Private Equity Investment Committee and Barings Real Estate’s Global Executive Committee. He has worked in the private debt and equity industry since 1992 working in roles such as portfolio management, origination, underwriting, and fund formation and capital raising. Prior to joining Barings in 2008, he was a Senior Vice President and Business Development Manager at GE Commercial Finance. He also held various positions at Union Bank of California, Foothill Capital Corporation and Fleet Bank. Ben holds a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell. He holds FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses.
