Vision and beliefs
Arjun was established with a vision to provide institutional investors with aligned and cost-effective access to European infrastructure. Arjun’s focus is on core / core+ infrastructure investments providing downside protection and sustainable long-term income streams.
Arjun’s predominant focus is on mid-market companies or platforms. Arjun believes that the mid-market offers the opportunity to secure more attractive risk-adjusted returns, and finds that bilateral transactions are more achievable. Compared to uncertain auction outcomes, bilateral transactions enable more efficient deployment of capital, as well as opportunity for more robust negotiation. Arjun has completed 75% of transactions to date on a bilateral basis. Arjun seeks control or co-control positions in investments for its flagship commingled funds, as has been the case in most of the investments in managed accounts. Appropriate control and governance is highly beneficial to our clients as this allows us to maximise the value creation benefits of Arjun’s active asset management approach. Arjun’s team has extensive experience at major infrastructure operators, allowing execution of operationally focussed asset management which it believes is key to delivering investment cases.
