Achmea Real Estate raises nearly € 1.2 billion for investments in the Dutch real estate market

Achmea Real Estate has raised nearly € 1.2 billion in new investment capital so far this year. Most of this capital comes from clients looking to expand their investments in residential real estate further. Of this amount, € 65 million will be invested in the Achmea Dutch Residential Fund. New mandates have also been received by the healthcare real estate fund and the retail fund.

Strong inflows following 2025

This new investment capital builds on the almost € 1.1 billion that Achmea Real Estate attracted in 2025, again largely from clients investing in residential properties. A significant portion of these funds has already been invested, including the acquisition of more than 2,200 homes by the end of 2025.

In 2025, Achmea Real Estate was able to welcome three new institutional clients to the healthcare real estate fund. In the first quarter of this year, another client was added, who will invest in the residential, retail and healthcare real estate funds.

Confidence in strategy and execution

Boris van der Gijp, co-chair and Director Investments at Achmea Real Estate said: “We are proud of the confidence that both existing and new clients place in us. This strong inflow of capital clearly confirms the strength of our strategy and of Achmea Real Estate. We are also succeeding in transforming this capital into tangible real estate investments that generate both financial returns and social value.”
