Over the past year, NTR has seen significant activity and growth, as it continues its mission to drive the European energy transition. This included the acquisitions of two Irish renewable energy projects and an innovative financing partnership.
- L&G NTR Clean Power (Europe) Fund secures Solar and Battery Project in Nottinghamshire, England
The L&G NTR Clean Power (Europe) Fund III has acquired the Ready-to-Build Fair Oaks Renewable Energy Park in Nottinghamshire from Ridge Clean Energy. The project comprises a 75.4MWp solar PV farm and a 49.9MW/99.8MWh battery energy storage system, supporting grid flexibility and energy storage. NTR completed the transaction on behalf of the Fund, marking the start of a long-term partnership with Ridge.
- NTR Completes €57 Million Debt Refinancing with NordLB and AIB
NTR has completed a c.€57 million debt refinancing with NordLB and AIB, strengthening the financing structure of its Taranis portfolio. The refinancing incorporates the 48.4MW operational Provencialis wind farm in France, expanding a portfolio that also includes Ballycumber in Ireland, SPJ and Briqueville in France, and the Momerstroff II wind portfolio. All assets are owned by the NTR Renewable Energy Income Fund II.

Investment process and research
NTR’s investment team is responsible for originating, evaluating and executing acquisition opportunities across a range of technologies. Drawing on extensive experience in sourcing, evaluating, investing in, and managing such assets, the team collaborates closely with both internal and external stakeholders to align priorities with our investment strategy and ESG goals to advance the green energy transition.
NTR currently manages assets across seven European countries. Our multilingual teams enable local market engagement facilitating deal sourcing and hands on investment management.
In addition to deep quantitative and technical analysis, our investment process includes a thorough assessment of each asset’s sustainability credentials, and we continuously monitor sustainability performance throughout the life of an asset which provides a unique feedback loop into our investment process. Third party specialists are engaged where appropriate.
