At the 2023 Singapore Business Review (SBR) Management Excellence Awards, our Co-Head of Asia-Pacific, George Agethen, won the « Executive of The Year – Real Estate » award. The SBR Management Excellence Awards is an esteemed awards program dedicated to and celebrating the remarkable achievements of leaders, innovators, teams, and initiatives that drive growth and make a positive impact on both the business operations and its workforce.
This award George Agethen’s leadership, dedication, and strategic vision, which have contributed to Ivanhoé Cambridge’s success in Asia-Pacific, building a strong diversified portfolio. Under his leadership, Ivanhoé Cambridge’s footprint in the region has grown rapidly, representing 9% of the global portfolio by the end of 2022, up from 4% in 2017.
Beyond financial success, George has been instrumental in driving Ivanhoé Cambridge’s commitment to sustainable investment in APAC, as the company has been recognised as the « ESG Investor of the Year – Asia » at the 2022 PERE Global Awards. He has also been committed to creating a vibrant and inclusive workplace culture. In recognition of these efforts, Ivanhoé Cambridge’s Singapore office received the « Great Place To Work » certification this year, highlighting the team’s dedication to building a collaborative and cohesive team that values cooperation and creativity.
