The race to net zero has begun and the world as we know it has started to change. Countries, cities and companies have committed to reduce their greenhouse gas emission footprints, which shows that climate change is no longer the mere concern of environmentalists and NGOs.
In a large-scale survey conducted by the UN Development Programme in 2021, twothirds of the 1.2 million respondents considered climate change as an emergency and called for decision makers in the public and private sectors to step up and take action. Thus, environmental concerns are part of the general thought process and consumer behaviour across the world is changing.
