Investor favor has wavered between growth and value stocks since the reopening rally began, but the value camp has clearly gained the upper hand so far this year.

As most equity markets stumbled, the Value and Dividend Yield factors strongly outperformed the growth-focused Quality factor in Q1, buoyed by their bigger exposure to rallies in stocks benefiting from soaring commodity prices and interest rates. Cheap stocks also gained an edge by dodging the sharp selloff in pricey high-growth stocks.
